IDE Drive not showing up in My Computer

I added a new HD to the 2nd IDE chain and set it to slave with a CDRom being the other device on the chain. The HD appears in the device manager and in the bios but not in My Computer....sigh....Help Please.

You need to create a partition on it and format it.

I know that WD has install sw included. If you have an oem drive look on the manufacturer's website for any sw.

It is a OEM dirive I just bought from NewEgg.

I don't know what you mean by SW.

wd = western digital.

sw = software

western digital has software that formats and partitions your new drive, other manufacturer's probably do as well on their respective websites.

LOL, Thx bubba...that was it. I have never bought a OEM disk before, didn't know it would be unformatted.. THX.. I can abandon my crazy rant now...
