I have a DFi AK 75-ec mobo with 768 mb ram, 900 mhz amd thunderbird processor, 40 gig Maxtor EIDE hdd running win 98 se. I formatted c:/s and when I was finished there were yellow exclamation marks next to my primary and secondary ide controllers in device manager. Any suggestions? I tried to remove and then reboot but they just came back. I'm going to try a new ribbon cable.

while not addressing your problem, anything over 512Mb of ram with win98 will need some editing of your Vcache lines!

did that m/board come with any m/board drivers on the cd?
