Hi,

I am using a promise ultra133 tx2 controller and I want to know if enabling the PCI IDE busmaster setting is enabled in the BIOS will have any effect since this is already enabled by the promise card. My other question if enabling the Smart status in the bios for the Hard disk will have any effect if it is connected to a PCI IDE controller.

i have the promise ultra133tx2 controller, and the drives connected to it will not be part of the smart status enabled in your motherboards bios.
