Hey all, i'm in the middle of buildin a new comp (my first selfbuilt)and just got my Epox 8k3a mb. The question is that it came with two cables, one floppy drive cable and an ide cable with two slots. My question is can my hd and cdrw drive coexist on that one cable? Thankx in advance.

Yes, don't forget to set the HDD as Master and use the end of the cable for it, other end of the cable to the mobo. The CDRW should be set as slave on the middle of the ribbon.

But really, since you are using a CDRW, it should have it's own ribbon set on the Secondary Channel as Master, and the HDD on the Primary as Master for best performace.

I agree w/ motoamd, use a seperate cable on secondary master for optimum performance.
