"Yeah, that's great healthcare right there. While I also think there is holes in the Canadian healthcare system, it's still in theory not the worst idea. "

Sounds to me like you're criticizing US healthcare (i.e., implying that the government should provide better healthcare for you because you cannot afford insurance). If I misinterpreted your intent, accept my apologies.

why are evn posting this. worthless trolling.
Worthless trolling is when you post disinformation and empty rhetoric -- littered with personal attacks and insipid stereotypes -- then ignore any responses demonstrating your mendacity. If you don't like having your BS refuted with facts and thoughtful analysis, stop posting it.

Thank you. That's a reasonable definition of your behavior. That you may, on rare occasions, post something with value doesn't change one whit the fact that most of your posts are worthless trolling. Neither does copying something from a dictionary. Let me know when you're ready to discuss your fantasy that you're a self-made man who hasn't benefited tremendously from government subsidies.

I did indeed - I don't suppose we're going to agree at the end of the day, but I know just a little more than I did yesterday (hmm, actually this started on .

I made a post the other day about respecting the people on this forum; sadly, none of us is perfect, and I certainly include myself in that statement!

There are a few who sometimes troll on this forum, and most of them seem to have their threads locked, or be banned with at least some regularity. The rest of us occasionally get angry, or post something that is out of line, but I think most of the people here are pretty good. There isn't much that people are more passionate about than money and politics. Believe it or not, I deleted 10 finished posts just before submitting them in the last two days because I questioned whether they were worth posting, and I'm guessing most of us do this from time to time. (Even at that I'm sure I managed to offend at least one person out there...)

I won't be voting for Bush in the fall once, let alone twice, but as you all know by now, I won't be voting in the fall at all, at least in the USA, so it's really a moot point;)

HS I look forward to learning from you (and helping you learn too) in the future. Unfortunately I think this thread may be about to degrade into a shouting match, which makes me think the argument has run its course. I believe I should also take a few days off to make sure my boss doesn't think I'm a slacker!

-cheers

I meant that the healthcare system in America is far from 'accesible' to alot of people in the US because of tactics like the ones that I went through. I brought up Candada because that was part of a different arguement. I do think Canada in alot of ways has their health care act abit better, in regards to being accesible to all. With that said, I never said, nor specifically asked for the government to pay my health bills.

Hey Rob9874, you said you wanted to argue factually. Why don't you answer my rebuttal of your inanities?

Because you didn't state any facts. The interpretation of the UN's Article 51 is widely disputed among lawmakers. And stating things like Bush's allies were bought and bribed is also not factual. Come back when you can discuss facts, and not liberal propoganda.

You conveniently failed to answer this part of my post.

Fact # 3. The US has never been as despised and feared worldwide as now. Bush has no support and respect from any allies unless you count a few impopular governments. Blair is taking a beating and might be gone soon. The same with Howard in Australia. The Polish, the Ukrainians, the Bulgarians etc. are not happy with the situation in Iraq. The Spaniards are gone. etc.

And Fact # 4. "Article six of the U. S. Constitution says, in part, "all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land." The Geneva Conventions of 1949 covering the treatment of prisoners of war and civilians in wartime are treaties the U.S. government promoted, signed, and ratified. They are therefore the supreme law of the land. Neither the President nor the Secretary of Defense has the authority to alter them or to choose whether or not to abide by them. President Bush's invention of such hitherto unknown categories as "illegal combatant," "evil-doer," or "bad guy" and his claim of a unilateral right to imprison such persons indefinitely, without charging them or giving them access to the courts and legal counsel, is a usurpation of the Constitution. It is precisely why the United States should have ratified the treaty establishing the International Criminal Court. It is intended to deal not only with genuine terrorists and people like Saddam Hussein but also with the kind of crimes President Bush has committed." Chalmers Johnson

President Bush should be standing trail nevermind for relection. Even to vote once for a usurper of the Constition of the USA as President of said Constitution would be perverted.

Even you admit that President Bush possibly broke the law. That means that you would be perfectly happy to vote for a possible War Criminal. Very impressive.

"And stating things like Bush's allies were bought and bribed is also not factual."
Let's take a look at the Coalition of the Willing. It includes warlords, dictators, drugdealers etc. who I am perfectly sure joined the coalition out of Moral Conviction. Right. You would be perfectly happy to vote for a President who demonstrably supports drugs, torture, murder, military dictatorships (Pakistan) and police states (Uzbekistan).

You guys are so funny. It must eat you up inside to know the Dems aren't in the White House. Bush has caused no damage, and he's a fine president. Go back to your hole. He'll be elected to 4 more years, and you guys can try again in 2008 with Hillary.

The democrats are a bunch of whiney liberals who shill for whatever corporation will sponsor their campaigns. I'm a libertarian. I believe that corporations should have no say in government and in a small government, like you "republicans" are so fond of. Fact of the matter is, Reagan increased the size of the government more than any other president since FDR. And Junior's running up a tab that our grandchildren's children won't be able to pay off. Look at the reality of what's going on, and you'll see that the promised freedom of America is gone.

Democrats know that their constituency is primarily uneducated Americans (blue collar, unemployed, or young kids not through college yet)

I'm curious...does anyone have any information relating average income and education to voting for the Democrats or Republicans?

i believe this meets your needs very well, directly refuting what he said:

anyone hear the new bad religion song "let them ear war". it talks about this issue.

Well, I just thought a bleeding-heart liberal would have compassion for all people, regardless of race or nationality.

Are you trying to insult people by calling them liberals? Almost every post here I've seen you make, you make some ignorant comment. And aren't you someone that criticizes the dems for insulting Bush? However, you are doing the same thing, except on a much wider scale. Don't you look like an ass?

EDIT: BTW, I'm only 15, excuse my being uneducated, etc. :\

I wasn't planning on voting, so I will cast mine for him, in your honor, will that make you happy?
