Just last week, I started hearing a slight squeeling noise from the front wheels on my 04 Grand Prix. It's really hard to describe the sound, but it kind of reminds me of plastic rubbing together, just loudly. If I have my windows down, sometimes I can barely hear it and other times I can hear it easily. If I'm driving next to a wall or between buildings, it's quite obvious due to echo.

The facts:

- The sound is definitely tied in with the rotation of the wheels (i.e. the faster the wheels are turning, the faster the sound).
- Applying the brakes does not affect the sound at all.
- The sound is only audible until I get to around 20-30MPH. After I hit 25-30MPH, I cannot hear it anymore even when driving next to a wall.

I have my own theory what it is, but I'd appreciate any input since I'm in no way qualified to diagnose it myself.
