Id Software petition needed....

I have been thinking...again

How many people think it would be a good idea for ID Software to release a full version of the original Doom game for free download in preparation of the newly redone Doom3?

I think it would get alot of people back into the Doom series! The original Doom is still better than any other game ID has released...in my opinion. There's something about that creepy feeling when going down a longhall way with the lights fading in and out and the sound of yourself breathing heavily. Sweat trickles as you realize your surrounded by invincible monsters...the sweat is pouring! I love that game...

Does anyone have a forum I could post on to get some major input on this?

I wouldnt say that doom was the best game ID released, that would have to goto quake (1&2&3TA), however i think it would be cool to play it again... oh wait... if i did, im sure it would go too fast on my computer. hah.

Yeah, probably $0.50, but I think it would be a good marketing move. They could also release some 3rd Party mods for it and stuff...kind of a package deal.

I like Ultimate Doom better than Quake2 and Quake3.
id just did something after Quake2, changed their style... I don't like it.
I hope Doom3 is a throwback to the good ole days.

I have like 4 official CDs full of DOOM and DOOM 2 and Ultmate DOOM and...so on..

DOOM kicks ass....DOOM III will as well, I hope. Q3A is really cool too, but just SOOOOOOOOO different than DOOM or Quake1...those two were MEANT to scare the buttasses outta you!
