I'd love to be able to play guitar like Jack White!

I'd like to play like Gunter Schulz.

The guitarist for KMFDM? He's good and all, but If I had to have the ability of one person.... it wouldn't be him 🙂

Yeah, but then I could be a nihilist, too.

You would select your guitar playing abilities based on your philosophical position?

How old are you, seriously?

Many people like to shoot down White Stripes, but to me they are the only modern rock band(duo) worth the ticket price.

They have that raw energy and sound, it's what rock n' roll is supposed to be.

They rocked my town big time just over a week ago. They even played a gig on a fishing boat in the harbor. I missed that one unfortunately.

Yeah, they're about as close to a 70's arena rock band as we have these days. The fact that they're getting so popular is encouraging. I like his style 🙂 That drummer fascinates me too.

And have Meg beat her drums for me. Everytime I watch them, their interaction is almost sexual. Great connection between the two. I have no idea how Meg synchs with Jack's almost improvisational rhytm.

Here's a recent performance.

😎

That's part of the problem with the White Stripes. They passed themselves off as husband and wife but they are actually brother and sister, with a sexual connection. You are impressed by this?

i thought it was the opposite? They passed themselves off as bro and sis, but it turned out they were married?

QFT

It was a symbolic gesture by them. After they divorced, they posed as brother and sister because brothers and sisters are linked together for life.

What was really cool, is that when they toured Canada recently, they played everywhere. Even up in the Northwest Territories. They did it for the fans. Name another popular band that would do that and I'll be shocked. And when they toured here in the Maritimes, they gave free surprise concerts in bars, pool halls, and even that fishing boat I mentioned earlier. They even had a concert in the small town of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, on the their 10th Anniversary, as Jacks family tree traces him back to that town.

They were married and are now divorced. However, they do refer to each other as brother and sister.
