I'd like to harvest dog paws for making shoes.

I'm serious too. I was just walking my dog in the snow outside, and while I was slipping and sliding my ass off -- he seemed to have great traction. I couldn't budge him at all and he pulled me in every which direction.

How the hell? What sort of material is dog paw made of? The things stick like glue in the snow + they are easy to manufacture. They'd probably have better grip than snow tires too. :hmm:

Who wants to invest in my idea?

Dogs can slip on ice just like a person. But they have four legs to help provide stability and traction. Their claws help too. I keep my dogs nails clipped close so they will slip on ice just like me.

If you haven't noticed, they make dog booties to help them too.

my dogs do worse on ice than i do.

also you can easily turn your feet into dog paws by not wearing shoes.

Dogs paw's good on slippery surfaces?

There's a reason my dog no longer walks across hardwood floors 🙄

P.S. For dogs, doing the splits must be at least as painful as it would be for me.

Mr Burns: You stay with me, you're the pick of the litter.
Lisa: Maybe we were wrong about Burns on this one...
Smithers: Are you sure you wanna go through with this, Sir,
you do have a very full wardrobe as it is...
Mr Burns: Yes...but not completely full. You see....

(Breaks into song)

...some men hunt for sport,
Others hunt for food.
The only thing I'm hunting for
Is an outfit that looks good.
See my vest, see my vest,
Made from real gorilla chest.
Feel this sweater, there's no better
Than authentic Irish Setter.
See this hat, 'twas my cat.
My evening wear, vampire bat.
These white slippers are albino
African endangered rhino.
Grizzly bear underwear,
Turtle necks I've got my share.
Beret of poodle on my noodle it shall rest
Try my red robin suit,
It comes one breast or two...
See my vest, See my vest, See my vest.
Like my loafers, former gophers,
It was that or skin my chauffeurs,
But a greyhound fur tuxedo would be best...
So let's prepare these dogs,
Kill two for matching clogs!
See my vest!
See me vest!
Oh, please, won't you see my veeeeeesst!

(Dialog)
Mr Burns: I really like the vest!
Smithers: I gathered that...
Lisa: (gasps) He's gonna make a tuxedo out of our puppies!
Bart: (hums the tune of the song) Na-na-na, na-na-na, na-na-naaa...
Lisa: Bart!
Bart: Sorry. You gotta admit, it's catchy.

get back to us on the frostbite thing.

i'm just saying that a calloused foot is basically the same thing. if your dogs wore shoes, their paws wouldn't be like that.

also, all slippery surfaces are not created equal. i have skid-proof shoes than can walk through oil and antifreeze like nothing's there, but they are murderous on ice.

Maybe because they walk on four? I wouldn't consider them because I know my dog slips like crazy on hardwood or tile floors

Well, first you can look up Felt Wading shoes. THey have a sole made of felt, and they are primarily used by fly fisherman to prevent slipping on rocks.

Or you can look into these two options... baseball cleats, or ice climbing cleats.

All three options will prevent the needless slaughter of multiple puppys.

dude my dog slides all over the place on my wooden floors.

There paws do not have excellent traction.

kinda like a 4x4, eh

Well, he has 4wd vs 2 for you and his feet would never stand up to the weight of the average adult male let alone the weight of the average adult American male.

if i'm not mistaken, it's the ripples in the dog's paw that draw water up via surface tension and allow the dog to get grip
