ICS problem... I think its simple

router ->
win xp -> (ICS)
Win 98SE

Can I have both a router and ICS?

Basically my router is across the house. I dont wanna spend money to buy a wire and then run i through the wall. I dont wanna spend any money actually.

If you are not running a wire then how are you doing it?

The difference is running a 7ft crossover cable behind my desk vs crawling a 75ft cable through my attic.

I should buy a hub or a switch. But im trying to be cheap.

Hmm... So is using ICS and having a router impossible?

Apparently ICS needs the IP of 192.168.0.1 which is my router's IP.

You can change your router's IP's I believe.

or skip ICS and just bridge the connections (Highlight both, right click, choose "bridge")
