ICS help

Ok here's what I have. 2 pc's in 2 different rooms.

Here's what I want to do. I want to run a crossover cable through my wall and install a jack in each wall. Would I need a patch cord to each pc or what? So I would have (pc-patch cord-wall-crossover-wall-patch cord-pc). Anybody know if this would work or do I need to do something different?

Theoretically, that should work, but for future expansion and simplicity of troubleshooting reasons, I'd suggest putting a straight Cat5e or Cat6 cable in the wall. Connect one PC on one end with a straight patch cable and connect the other PC with a crossover patch cable.
