ICS: client can't access most websites

I have two computer with win2k on both. I have a DSL modem. I am trying to share my 'net connection with the second computer.
I have two NICs installed, and one is connected to the modem, and the second one is conneced to the second computer.
Hardware wise, I am pretty sure I have it correctly.
Software wise, I followed the "how-to" from the following link almost word for word
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q307311&sd=tech.

The problem is, the host can access all websites. However, the client computer can only access some select websites such as hotmail.com, or vcu.edu, or tvguide.com, etc.
But it can't access major websites such as yahoo.com, or google.com, etc. I "think" it has to do with setting up IP address and DNS, but I am not sure. As I said, I pretty much followed the direction that's on that link. Except, while it asks to configure the client computer to acquire IP and DNS automatically, i had to manually enter it in, or it couldnt' access ANY websites. So i basically entered the same IP and subnet as the one that was configured on the host LAN card connecting to the client. Doing that enabled for AIM and some select websites to function. But I don't know what I need to do in order to enable it to access all websites. The client can ping them fine, but when it is accessing a website using either IE/Netscape, it stays on "waiting for reply", with nothing happening.

If anyone has encountered this problem, or know whats going on, please help!
Thanks

Anish

P.S. the win2k is freshly installed on the client

Alright, couple hours after I posted here, I found the answer somewhere on the web, posted by a Robert Northup.
Here was teh solution that was to be performed on the client computer

Re: Some pages never open.....

I'm running W2K, but the registry key should be the same.....

Run regedit and go to the key listed below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces

Now go to the key below this one where EnableDHCP = 1, and in this folder add a new DWORD value, MTU = 1450.

Reboot or better yet disable/enabled that interface, and you should be all set!
