Does anyone know if there is a way to use icq trough your web-brouser, or do you have to install it?

gotta install it

EDIT: Unless you just send messeages through the web using ICQ, like if you click someones ICQ thing in the forums a window will pop up and you can send them a messege from it

Try Bantu.com, it's a free service like Hotmail... all you need to do is register for free, and they have ICQ, AIM, MS messager all implemented using java applet...

all you need to do is logon to their website, and an applet window will pop-up for ICQ, no installation needed... I have been using it for quite some time now...

No, it should not be affected... To the web server, it's only a java applet from a browser running, instead of a program...

I use it all the time in my school's labs cuz I can't install any programs... works great...
