I still use it, and refuse to use anything else. AIM and MSN are much more annoying. Just use ICQ pro and no more ads.
Or I use the ICQ network through Trillian.
 
used it since 97, six digits number, but then all of my friends moved on to YM or so that's what i use now.

i noticed just about a month ago that they now have a web client. very handy.
 
Skype is actually quite an interesting concept - peer to peer communications (for something other than file sharing). Just read a recent article last week in MIT Technology Review regarding Skype, featuring the creators Zennstrom and Friis. While most are not familiar with their names, you may be familiar with their previous project - KaZaA.

The article focused mainly on the two's recent endeavor, although one point I found most interesting were the machines used to develop such software - ~233MHz processor based machines.
 
I used to use ICQ. I have no ideal what my password is anymore.

I mainly use AIM and MSN now, although I do use Yahoo sometimes.
