Icons and clock postion in XP

In Windows 2000 when the task bar was double height, the clock appeared on the top of the system tray with and system tray icons below it. In Windoes XP is seems that the clock shows up on the right and all the icons are on the left, regardless of how tall the system tray is. Is there a way to change this behavior back to like it was in Windows 2000? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure there is a way other than trying XP in "Classic" mode? Plus, I don't recall if the clock gets hidden when you use the system tray hiding option in XP. If it does not, the clock has to stay to the right for this to work. I don't use the taskbar clock because I like SysMetrix's app.
