ok i have win2k, and all the icons that are shortcuts, look like there are actal exe files meaning that the iocns don;t have that little arrow that tells you that it's a shortcut, how do i fix this, thanx.
 
Play around with TweakUI.

Go to the Explorer Tab and check out what the shortcut overlay is set to, change it to what you want and then apply it. If you still have problems, go to the Repair tab and select Rebuild Icons.
