I have a couple of ice packs to deal with strains. After putting in the freezer a few times I've found that they stink, that nasty smell things get when put in the freezer a few times. Is there a way to get rid of that smell? 😕

you need to clean your freezer
martha stewart recommends spreading some baking soda periodically to neutralize odors and such

First, clean your freezer. Then get one of these. http://www.amazon.com/Whirlpool-4392...zer+deodorizer
Thanks for the heads ups. It didn't occur to me that cleaning the freezer would help this. 😎 I'll start there, have a lot of baking soda around, will put some in the freezer and see what happens...meantime I have the above product in my Amazon cart. If needed, I'll get it.

I did try washing one of my gel packs really well with soapy water and drying it, but it still stinks, maybe not so bad. Maybe I can get the smell out of the two packs I have. 😕

Good old distilled white vinegar. It will kill the bacteria and deodorize the packs.
