Icewind Dale RPG nag screen question

I've had the old big box version of Icewind Dale out in a file cabinet in my garage for about 8 years, and over the weekend I finally started playing it. I'm a little disappointed with the graphics, which seem more like 1994's Betrayal at Krondor than they do a game that came out in 2000 or later. However, I'm thoroughly hooked now. I have a party of 6 fighters with stats that will allow me to go up to 9th level. At that point, I'll change the first 3 to fighter clerics, the next one to a fighter/thief, and the last 2 to fighter/mages.

What's really annoying with the game, however, is the initial nag screen every time I launch it. Up comes several screens trying to get you to register, then telling you why you would want to register.

I tried registering once, filling out all of the information they requested and submitting it. Up came a "registration submitted" thing at the top of the screen (this seemed to be from the program itself, not the web), but then I end up looking at a website that no longer seems to exist or be maintained. (object not found, error 404)

Whether or not I go through the steps to register, it seems like I always have to put up with these nag screens. It makes me feel like I'm playing unregistered shareware, instead of the retail boxed copy I purchased at Gamestop.

Is there any way at all to get rid of these nag screens??? Thanks for any help!

One of the options will lead you to a "never register" button from what I remember. I played the boxed version about 6 months ago, and I didn't have to do anything special, but they aren't exactly clear with the prompts they give you.
