I know this is a really old game but it has such a following that I was hoping someone would be able to help me out.

I'm at the ice wall in a huge ice palace and this "crystal dial" I'm going to call it needs to be turned to the West but in moving it I broke it and now I need to fix it somehow. Anyone know what to do?
