the female icelandic rumor was actually in the book, "Red Storm Rising" by Tom Clancy, if anone remembers. Remember the army guys on iceland? they had that girl with them. She was pregnant by some guy, and she wasnt even close to him. They went on to discuss that it is moe common than in the states.

Okay, so it's partially true. GL, regarding that documentary that you saw ... I think that girl who told me this saw the exact same thing because that's the story I heard. Boyfriend sleeps upstairs in the girlfriend's parents' place and the next morning, they serve him breakfast like it's nothing.

Sorry, but this had me almost rolling on the floor laughing, so funny Actually we had a volcanic eruption a a year ago I think, no harm, just in the middle of the "highlands" here. The only disaster that happened is that few hundred people got stuck on a road somewhere because of the weather. They were going to see the volcano.
We also had an earthquake a while ago, was about 6righter I think, only few houses that got cracked. We build our houses strong. The only one who got hurt is some woman who was running few hundred km from the place the quake originated and she fell and broke her leg.

Stupid how the media gets things wrong. Like when we had another volcanic eruption few years ago, the media here reported that on a part of the country sheep were put inside because dust (or whatever its called) fell from the sky and into the grass and it was not ealthy for the sheep. The german media reported that every kid in the country had to stay inside because of the dust. Little do they know that the icelandic word kind means sheep in english, but in dautch kind means kid.
