It's been posted here, but not in a thread to itself. First the pictures made the rounds, the video showed up the other day. But I'm happy for more attention to be drawn to who ICE really is, and this is an excellent demonstration of that.

On an unrelated note, everyone remember the next No Kings day is 10/18 :)

Not excusing ICE’s actions whatsoever—but I’m not so sure if the priest was deliberately targeted, or whether some low IQ/low proficiency ICE grunt was trying to hit the guy next to the priest [wearing a hard hat] and ended up hitting the priest instead. Makes it slightly less evil and slightly more incompetence on full display.

The picture (and others) also show the importance of symbolism.

ICE wearing tactical gear beating up on a man of the cloth. Or when they were shooting tear gas at people carrying American flags...

Two things.
1. It should be pointed out that those are non lethal pepper rounds fired from a paint ball gun. Hurts like a bitch but won't put you in the ground.

2. Since when did anyone on Reddit give a shit about a pastor?

The manufacturers of those pepper balls disagree with you and say to never aim at someone's head because hitting them there may be lethal. Are they wrong?

Amazing how even now you're unable to say that shooting innocent people in the head is wrong.

I would also point out that these are generally regarded as "less than lethal" weapons, not "non-lethal" because of the chance that they can kill someone, and they can still cause substantial injury if misappropriated.

Typical MO. Comment on some insubstantial detail while sweeping the rest under the rug and ignoring it.

I'm sure in a few months, he wouldn't have even heard of this incident.
I'm sure there needs to be a full investigation and trial in the court of law before we determine whether shooting the protester in the face was justified or not, right guys? Right? Hello?

Another protester, Reverend David Black of the First Presbyterian church of Chicago, said that he was pelted with about seven or eight “pepper exploding pellets” that hit his head, face, torso, arms and legs, while in a position of prayer.

“I’m not a political ideologue, but I am very deeply rooted in my faith, in the ways that it calls me to show up in this moment as someone who can proclaim the good news and call these ICE agents into their right mind,” he said.
From the same story:
On Sunday morning, CBS Chicago News reporter Asal Rezaei, was attacked by an ICE agent who shot a pepper ball into her car from about 50ft away and was exposed to chemicals on her face. She said in a social media post that after the incident, she was “puking for two hours”.
And not the only journalist they've gotten their jollies off by abusing.

lol - the public most certainly does mind as Trump's ratings on this are low and declining. What's amusing is you're so committed to being a doomer that you didn't bother to actually read the poll. The increase in DHS approval comes from Republicans who unsurprisingly hated it last year when told to hate it during the election and now like it because, duh. It's also still underwater at 42%!
