Spending too much buying ice every year. My fridge has an icemaker in it but the ice sucks. Probably uses tap water. So I end up buying bagged ice every week. Been looking to buy some sort of ice machine for a while now. Want to spend less than $400. How do you get your ice? Is it any good?

Maybe there's a way to just replace the ice maker/filter in my fridge.

Some of these are awesome but ice-trays are kind of a hassle 😛

At work, we rent an ice machine. The provider maintains the machine and changes the filters. I can ask what the cost is on it.

i have 2 icecube trays in my freezer and i seem to do just fine. you can call me Don Mega.

why do you need so much ice?

Quit asking questions! I'm innocent!

Surprised this thread got any replies actually 😀

Wouldn't really have a place to put a portable ice maker is the only thing. I could put an ice maker in place of my old broken dishwasher maybe but it would have to be pretty big. The RO system under the sink and water line might be the best way to go.
