For those who want to spend $50 or $100 on MMC card for their free Jamp3, check this out. A CDRW can hold 650M, and the cost can be free after MIR.

The model is CLASSIC CM351.

I think it's a good deal, since it is the cheapest mp3 cd player I can find. Just open CC's web site and do a search, you will find it.

Don't mean to be particularly nasty, but.......

Both Classic brand AND CC are CRAP. Classic is very cheap MP3 CD player with none of the features of slightly ($20) more expensive players.

Actually, I do want some more information and suggestion, as I am about to buy a MP3 CD player for my car. (I know Rio Volt is nice)

Please give some info about the other cheap player that has more features but only slightly expensive.

Classic's mp3 player got good user reviews, and dmusic.com gave it good review too.

I mean CDRW disk can be free after MIR. If you visit this forum regularly, you will find tons of such deals.

I still have more than 700 un-opened CDR and CDRW sleeping in my closet.:D

Colleague of mine bought the Classic at CC, and the POS plastic came apart in his hands within a week!

I got my Rio Volt for $116 (combination of display model and 10% "preferred buyer" deal), and IMO this is the only MP3 CD player to get.

The Napa was briefly on clearance at my local Target for around 80 bucks. No ID3 tag support, and I don't think it reads CD-RW, just gotta keep your eyes open for deals.

Note: The unit on sale at CC for $59.95 (regular $69.95) is the Classic CM351. The unit reviewed at dmusic.com is the CM415.

No ID3 support on the CM351, and seems to have Much lower anti-shock values and poorer battery life when compared with CM415. Try this if you want more info.

EMIGlobal website

EMIGlobal is the actual manufacturer of the Classic. Seems that CC is their biggest customer and only place to buy in the US.

If it's about $100, I will buy rio volt. I like its ability to play wma files, but I don't think it can play V7 or V8.

Actually, the Rio Volt reads V2, V7, and V8 WMA files. Try this file converter if you want to convert MP3 to WMA V7 or V8. dBpowerAMP Music Converter

Download the V7 and/or V8 codecs from Codec Central (which is linked to on the dBpowerAMP Music Converter website.

We're now so far off topic, that I will stop posting in this thread.
