Guys, I don't see what the problem is. You didn't complain when Obama invaded the North Pole in a tan suit to kidnap Santa During Christmas War I. Also, don't you remember when he sent out his masked stormtroopers to round up anyone in the US engaging in illegal Christmas-related activities, even children with dubiously legal levels of rosy cheeks were rounded up on suspicion of being paid minions by the Deep Christmas State, and thrown in concentration camps? You guys were all going on about you being unsure and maybe you should hold off any decisions about its legality until it's had its day in a Sharia court.

MAGA Rep. Booed Out of Town Hall For Refusing to Denounce ICE Killings

America is tiring of its ICE-friendly politicians.

Wyoming Representative Harriet Hageman faced hostile blowback from a crowd at Casper College Tuesday evening, who so furiously demanded answers from the MAGA lawmaker regarding ICE agents killing Alex Pretti and Renee Good that they effectively jeered her out of the assembly hall.

“I’m a student here at CC, and I was here at the last town hall back in August. You mentioned Laken Riley,” a male student said, referring to the 22-year-old who was murdered in 2024 by a Venezuelan immigrant. “However, you did not mention today either of the people who were killed in Minnesota recently. Why is that?”


The question elicited uproar from the crowd, footage published by WyoFile showed. One older man shouted, “shot 10 times in the back,” referring to the number of times agents shot Pretti.

“When I was speaking in August I was describing the Laken Riley Act that we had passed earlier in the year,” Hageman responded before the student cut her off.

“That’s not the question. Why haven’t you mentioned either of the people killed in Minnesota?” he pressed.

“Let me answer the question. I spoke about Laken Riley because it was one of the bills that we passed. I haven’t talked about what’s happening in Minnesota today,” Hageman continued.


But that set off the crowd again.

“Yeah, why is that?” the student demanded. “Why haven’t you said that you condemn the violence or given condolences to the families of the victims?”

Several people in the crowd then shouted out other ICE-related issues that they wanted Hageman to address, such as how the agency appears to be the administration’s “secret police.”

“Woah, OK,” Hageman said, before the student insisted again that she explain her silence regarding the ongoing state-sponsored violence in Minnesota.

“So I think what has happened in Minnesota is a terrible tragedy for the woman and the man who were killed,” Hageman said.


Casper resident Allyse Taylor followed up on the pressure, asking why Hageman had not spoken up about the Fourth Amendment violations by ICE and Customs and Border Protection officers breaking into homes without warrants.

“I’m not sure that I trust your facts,” Hageman spat back, causing the crowd to boo at her.

“It is all over the internet. What do you have to say about that constitutional violation?” Taylor asked.

“I think that I have to look at the investigation,” Hageman responded. “If there were violations of someone’s constitutional rights, there is redress.”

“Then why is there no redress?” Taylor said. “Why are you not calling for transparency with what these people are doing? ICE, DHS, Border Patrol—they are violating people’s constitutional rights, they are killing American citizens in the streets, and you are doing nothing. You are not saying a single solitary thing to support constituents or support the American people.”


Taylor continued: “As a constitutional lawyer, you should be incensed. Why are you not?”

Hageman then proceeded to gather her papers and folders, wave, and walk away from the lectern as her constituents called her “chickenshit.”

It's not because they're a good party, it's because they're not the Republicans. And because they're going to win, they think their shit don't stink and they're not going to make much effort.

Keep in mind the Democrats were going to do nothing about stopping the DHS bill from going through because they didn't want any government shut down. The only reason they changed their mind is because of Alex Pretti getting shot.

Think about that. The amount of brutality, and constitutional law breaking activity in Minneapolis was already a massive outrage. But the main opposition party was not going to do much about it. Only a very high profile second murder on camera changed things.

It's not just an incompetent political party or just a corrupt political party, it's kind of gross.

Burying DHS in more beaurocratic nonsense before they can flood the streets with more untrained thugs is a good thing; adding additional conditions and restraints on funding is also good. Getting a 9% cut in BP funding is also good. It isn't enough, but but you're not going to get ICE or DHS disbanded as the minority party. And with Pretti's death, Democrats get a little more public leverage to push for additional legislative restrictions. (Anyway, restrictions on funding are good if DHS can just tap their infinite, unreatricted money pool from the partisan OBBBA)

Things like "training" should be read like Republicans talking about how they aren't anti-choics, they are just making sure abortion is safe as they vote for more restrictions. It's about building a public narrative that sounds reasonable and forces Republicans to react against it.

I would like DHS disbanded and powers of CBP and ICE reallocated to other agencies as these ones get ripped up from the roots. But I can also count and am willing to take the wins where they come when we lack political power.

Let's see what they actually get and what ice actually follows. I'll take the wins I know it can't be abolished, it doesn't change how pathetic the Democrats are. They were going to use no leverage with the government being funded to get concessions until pretti's murder. That's what my post was about.

And that's fucking disgusting and pathetic because so many people were suffering already. But that wasn't enough for the corrupt Dems.

I wrote a bit in all caps because governments going around murdering people gets my heckles up. It's not trumpy in nature because it involves having principles; trumpy all caps are because he's not feeling like he's the most important boy in the room.

The Republican-controlled Arizona Senate passed a resolution calling for the Arizona Attorney General to resign because she pointed out that Arizona's "castle doctrine" of allowing folks to shoot anyone who enters their house, when combined with the Republican policy of having Waffen SS committing warrant-less home invasions, is going to get people killed. Republicans really hate it when people point out the obvious outcomes of their poorly considered policies of maximized violence.

Unfortunately the system we have is so biased to a two-party system and the Democrats know it. It's so difficult for a true third party to arise. The shitty Democrats know this, and because they know this they're more than happy to remain shitty cuz they don't have to worry too much.

What we can do though is make sure we help as many actual progressive politicians defeat every establishment that we can in the primaries. We need to throw these corrupt motherfuckers out of office and the way to do that now is through the Democratic primaries. Right now we just have to get more good people into the Dem party and then hopefully we can overthrow the Dem establishment crooks right the fuck out the door.
