ICE does not care. They will get out of the car and kill you in broad daylight if you do something as trivial as looking at them the wrong way.
Nonviolent protest doesn't mean your life isn't in danger. Civil rights protesters knew the stakes. The point is to drive public opinion by showing how overbearing and extreme the response to the protests are. And I would say that the recent deaths and actions of ICE are doing much the same for public opinion.

I mean... with all the work they all have done, not seeing their face move is kind of on brand no?
I mean LTX2 tends to change a person's face as they're talking into someone unrecognizable. A person holding still makes it less likely, though.

Where are all the "don't tread on me" gun fetishists, bringing 2nd amendment cases out of this. Pretti reportedly had a concealed-carry permit, he wasn’t brandishing it. Yet we have multiple talking heads such as Noem and Patel saying that you can’t bring a loaded gun to a protest and saying you can’t exercise rights from different amendments at the same time? So your civil rights have to take turns? Them saying that Pretti didn’t have ID on him, and you have to carry ID if your carrying a firearm. Funny, I don’t remember seeing the ICE goons asking him for his ID before they executed him.

I don’t think these guys at the Michigan Capitol protesting COVID rules were carrying water guns, yet I didn’t hear anyone on the right complain about what these guys were holding. Where are these fucktards now? Probably newly hired ICE agents.

Sure. If other people tell that Maniac how nuts, stupid, and enabling his position is. I'll shut the fuck up.
You kind of agree with each other on the fundamentals so maybe save the energy for the real bad guys rather than arguing with people on your side that have different methods?
I got my gas masks and tear gas goggles right from Amazon!
I like how she worries about people buying gas masks because they are getting gassed but isn't worried about her Temu Stormtroopers stripping every military surplus shop in the area for their fascist cos play!

It's truly appalling. They're of the same ilk that plotted to kidnap the governor. I wouldn't be surprised if they're all friends.

It basically comes down to, those on the right only support the second amendment as long as its them that hold the firearms.

The bottomless pit of hypocrisy and lack of logical thinking.

how about the blue paint that you cannot wash off so we can recognize the nazis easier after they change their clothes

There's this fleeting moment in the ethereal side of me that brings images of Trump, Vance, Miller, Bondi, etc. along with every ICE agent having been blessed by Lt. Raine's gift to the world.

I remember them saying pretty much the opposite when Rittenhouse was literally waving a rifle around and shot 3 people!

Totally different, Rittenhouse murdered people Republicans wanted to see murdered.
Also, Rittenhouse owned the gun illegally, crossed state lines illegally with it, and brandished it around clearly looking for a skirmish. All very opposite things to this hero in Minneapolis - who was 100% legal about it and never reached for it nor did anything threatening at all.

ice just keeps radicalizing people

ICE goons are paid to instigate violence, hatred, misery and chaos. They hide their guilt behind a wall of arrogance and false bravado. Those agents who murdered those protesters, well, they're going to have their victim's ghosts haunt them for the rest of their lives because they know they fucked up badly and can't ever make amends for their crimes. They justify their cruelty and inhumanity by the amount of pay they're getting and the promotions that come with "being the best that they can be." They have orders coming directly from Trump and that gives them the gall, the nerve, the motivation to behave as predatory animals would, devoid of any compassion for their kills...until they're all alone in their beds at night and their despicable acts of inhumanity creeps into their nightmares.

These ICE agents, the way they're conducting themselves, they'll pay for it one way or another. And the ones who've managed to somehow justify to themselves what they're doing is somehow OK with their families and loved ones, well, the moment it's let on at large that they're ICE, it'll be like the proverbial albatross tied around their necks. Sure, they'll be fine when they're with their fellow agents in a big group hug, but that's not going to last any longer than the moment they're by themselves with accusing eyes staring back at them.

That's a pretty damn good article, thanks for posting.

My friend, a blond white woman, who lives in Minneapolis and is an attorney, has been one of these people answering the call of duty for justice. She has been tear gassed, and been to many many protests. Including Friday's march and both days this weekend. I told her to take it easy yesterday - she is a big football fan and I said just stay in and watch the games. She did end up seeing the NFC game but during the day she was out protesting again and also paying her respects to the murder victim at the site of his execution, with huge crowds.

I told her we are talking about the Minneapolis people and their strength in these times. She was like, do people know what's really going on? I said a lot of us do know. Social media is helping us where the mainstream media fails us over and over again.

THere is also an active system of people who deliver groceries to minority people's homes, as they are too scared to leave their homes and do any errands, or work. A lot of the groceries are donated. It's a whole systemic form of civil protest that has organically risen. They have given all of us in other cities a blueprint for our turns.
