Because they don't really support the 2A, such as it is. They support the expression of power on those they deem lesser than, in whatever form that takes.

In nations like Russia, or North Korea. The State has rights. Everyone else is a slave of the State, to be dispensed with as they please.
To reiterate. They view themselves as the State right now, as they currently hold power.

We aren't talking about the people, we are talking about those in government, even though many regular German people where also killed. Not Hitler's opposition in government that ended Hitler's rein, as those people where dead. He committed suicide in a bunker after being deafed to avoid capture.

What you claimed you want the democrats to do (be leaders: organize protest, general stikes, ect), is not learning from history, it's repeating it. You want the deomcrates to do it, even though it's illegal, which will get them jailed at minimum, or worse killed, just as it did with Hitler. It's what Trump is waiting for, for them to give him a reason. (Trump and his administration are already supporting his gestapo injuring and killing protestors, supporting them doing it, as they lie and manipulate the truth so they can continue).

Leaders will rise and be created from us, the people. Not the majority of democrates or anyone else holding office. Yet that is where you are looking for them to be. They already failed you and everyone else.

You have twisted this conversation to the point that you think I am saying we should't stand up and fight back, we shouldn't do anything, which is far from the truth. It's not even what the conversation is about. It's nothing more than manipulation on your part to try and skew away from the original topic. It's not the least bit surprising. They have no universal principles that apply to everyone, or even every citizen.

Everything is about accumulating power, wealth, weapons for themselves, while denying them to "others". "Rights for us". "Oppression for them".

There would be mass cheering from MAGA, if Trump announced open season on protesters (and no end to those who would be running out the door with their guns).

You can't convince or shame MAGA into having human decency which they abandoned many years ago (outside of maybe separating one from the herd for deprogramming).

I do suggest to anyone to get your quality goggles and choice of face mask. I went with a classic 3M half-face mask and make sure you get the right filters for tear gas and other such chemical irritants. Some are just for paint fumes and lesser caustic gasses. I wanted a separate set of goggles and half-face mask vs one full one. Ended up getting two sets because I sometimes protest with a partner in crime.

If you are going to protest at all, or live near a big city, either way, I do suggest you grab a set or two.

You... hope... to be France, cria 1940. Just trying to warn you how that works out.
From a military standpoint, having an organized second nation would be a huge step up in the right direction. Just don't prepare for peace. It's going to be total war with bombed out husks for cities.
