TSA PreCheck costs a whopping eighty bucks for five years, it's popular for trans people so we can maybe not get groped when we fly.
If I flew a lot for my job I would have paid the piper. I would win the TSA Precheck lottery a few times when I would fly, and that was great, but did not travel enough in my mind to justify any of those plans. Not understanding the trans angle though.

On a regular TSA check, they press a gender button for the body scan, if you've got unexpected breasts or a different genital situation than expected, you get some extra attention.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — Winter is usually Mick Sharpe’s slow season.

The founder of Protection Far Left of Center teaches firearms and self-defense training courses for people who lean left, politically. He typically holds two or three concealed carry classes a month with between five and eight participants in each course.

But in the weeks since Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has blanketed the Twin Cities, and federal agents killed two people, Sharpe has held twice-weekly classes for between 25 and 30 participants. And he is booked into July.

It would be interesting to see how the usual stereotype of CCW permit holders react to this. I remember that Reagan signed CA legislation banning open carry of weapons in response to the Black Panthers exercising their then right to do so before Reagan in his bigoted wisdom decided that just wouldn't do. The conservatives who tend glaze his memory somehow seem to also avoid acknowledging this about his record in government before his terms as President.

I haven't seen any reporting on the subject talked about in the CBC video on cable news or network news, but then I don't watch them much any more.

Why would anyone care about the political leaning of an armed citizen being properly trained? And how would firearms training have a political focus? God bless the guy for coming up with a slick marketing idea, but it's the exact same training no matter who is getting it.

Everyone that carries a firearm should be trained, and anyone that might have any sort of access to a firearm should at least be trained in the four basic rules of firearm safety. This is all common sense 101, and should be a first grade subject in school.

Don’t worry about that. 1st graders learn all about guns in school these days.

So another thing you claim to be for yet keep voting against. LOL

If it's common sense, why is training not already required nationwide?

Included in one of my credit card's benefits is Global Entry/Precheck and even Clear+ now. It's a high annual fee Amex card but the only one I have like that because sometimes I need to charge something huge and not have it decline. Other cards are offering similar benefits now.

This is the thing that happens with kakistocracy and the lack of accountability.

She should resign and if she doesn't, fired. She's a fucking joke. But Trump won't do it because she goes along with the MAGA narrative. Not new ground here.

bunch of assholes, from the piece of shit cops all the way up the border patrol

he accidentally walked up to a woman's house thinking it was his own. She panicked, called the cops, and Buffalo PD took the curtain rod he used as a walking stick for a weapon and ordered him to drop it.

Since he couldn't see or understand English, he couldn't comply with their demands, so they tased him and arrested him for possession of a weapon: his curtain rod. He spent the next year in detention.

Maybe don't let the nearly blind non-English speaking guy go for a walk by himself... because a nervous Karen might call the cops, who will have no recourse but to taser, beat, and arrest him when he doesn't understand their commands to drop his curtain rod/walking stick. And then Border Patrol might just drop him off at a random location without telling anyone.

(ICE are actually NOT the bad guys in this one, just regular cops and CBP!)

Yeah, the people that did this are murderous, inhumane freaks and it's outrageous our tax dollars are funding this crap. What should happen to the perpetrators is a TOS violation.
