On a trip back to the east coast (B-MORE BABY) i noticed that they had ice cream at the supermarket.

Nothing particular about that, but what really made me take a double take was the NAME of the ice cream... it WAS IDE's... now being from Nor Cal i was shocked to see that these people had taken my beloved Dreyer's ice cream color and container... DEEP Brown and White stripes alternating and running vertically on the sides of the cylinder... Now i pose the question to you... What is the name of the ice cream in you area that comes in containters with DEEP Brown and White 1.5 inch Bars alternating and running vertically on the sides of the container?

I think it's edy's in KC. They use different names for different locations. Like Hardee's here is Carl Jr.'s in Colorado.

It looks that company was found by two dudes, Dreyer and Edy. Dunno why it was called IDE's where you found it though. Maybe it was some knock-off?
