I am iterested in using it on both of my machines. I will send email. Just to be sure -- must we participate in the F@H project, or are other projects acceptable?

I am not participating in this testing.

However, I have just picked up 3 ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 Premium CPU Coolers * that I will install on my 3 FX-60s this weekend. I have ordered 2 tubes of IC Diamond 7 that I should receive in the next few days. I have one box (currently running hot) that I will use Arctic Silver 5 on to get the base line temps and then I will convert to ICD7 and do another test.

I have also ordered a special tool that I think may help in the ICD7 applications. If it works like I expect it to, rabrittain and I are going to do a video about it.

Meanwhile, on my post about the AMD thermal Interface material white paper, I have included a link to a recent (3 Mar 2008) benchmark of 33 TIMs (repeated here).

IC Diamond 7 and Arctic Silver 5 are both in the top 5, with a surprisie as #1.

EDIT: I will do 4 tests on one box and 2 tests on each of the others.

IC Diamond 7--applied with the secret tool

IC Diamond 7--applied normally

Since its open to all, I'm game.

Test subject will be a Core 2 Duo 6320 overclocked (mildly) to 2.25ghz with stock hs/fan. Current temps are as reported by Speedfan 4.32
Cores 36-39c
Sytem 36-39c
CPU 49-52c

Running Boinc 24/7/365 full time with Einstein 😛

I got my tube. I have 2 3870's, both of which are water cooled. One of them is on its way back from RMA. The one that is currently installed has Arctic Silver Ceramique. So when the 2nd card returns, I'll put the ICD7 on it and compare the temps.
 
I've been using AS5 for years on my overclocked rigs, and Shit-Etsu on the rest. I'm really looking forward to crunching some SETI on a few quads with this.
 
I recieved my tube today in the mail. It will take me a day or two to get organized. I'll post my results in the appropriate thread.
 
I hope it isn't too late to request a sample. I would very much like to try IC Diamond 7 and compare it to what I am currently using (AS5).

I don't run F@H, so i'm not sure if i'd quality, but i'd love to compare this to AS5, which is also what i use.

I'm even willing to pay for some, as i can't find it in Canada anywhere.

Hi there,

I would love to test out the IC Diamond 7 TIM on my new MacBook Air. This thing has some serious thermal issues with a temperature difference as much as 20C between the CPU and Heatsink.
 
I have plenty of tubes left for those that qualify.

I will be closing out the giveaway portion of this exercise Monday next week. That will be it,no more, final, last, end. So get your notice into me before then.
