Look, the GPU is over $3k on eBay right now, and scalpers will hit you for $1k on the 5950x.

It's like you get to the two best bits an they throw in all the rest (maybe $700-$800 worth?) for free! :D

One of my best buddies who has been card chasing just broke down and bought one and I don't blame him at all. The chase is done!

I was so close to pulling the trigger, but the lack of an included keyboard and mouse killed the deal for me. ;) :p

With the mining boom and component availability, you got pay to play, so this could be just what someone wants if they want the 5950X and the RTX 3090 anytime soon.

Yeah, expected delivery is before the end of next week. Based on how fast my friend got the 3900x version of this (denied delivery today, ordered Monday night late) I expect it to be right on. So many prebuilts have weeks/months lead time right now!

If you bought one I could find a mouse and keyboard to send you 😂

I bought an IBuyPower desktop from Costco 2 years ago. Basic components are OK,(ASRock mobo, ASUS 2070) but just after the factory 1 year warranty expired, their IBP-branded AIO CPU liquid cooler crapped out. Otherwise, no real complaints.
I see this one comes with 3 years of warranty. Nice.

Buy it ... sell 5950x for just enough below top dollar so it moves quick.

Snag 5800x at retail price that are in stock all over the place.

But then if you really have a need for a 3090 you might actually also have a legit need for every one of those 32 threads?

I'm SO glad I cut loose the purse-strings for my 3080 before things got completely out of hand.

I'd love to upgrade my GPU... currently an RTX 2070... but geez. It was hard enough getting the 5900X in building out my new main system (StockX, around $825). 5900X, 64GB DDR4 3600, ASUS Strix ROG B550-F Gaming WiFi, 2TB Samsung 980 NVME Pro System drive, 4TB Sabrent Rocket NVME data drive, Silverstone 850W Modular PSU, Thermaltake Commander C33 RGB case, Cooler Master Master Liquid 240mm Lite AIO cooler (Had it around from some sale a while back). A nice upgrade from my 6700K, but mostly in speed and cores, since my old system also had 64GB RAM, 2TB boot NVME, etc...

It's frustrating getting the "Add to cart" button in Amazon for a decent GPU at MSRP, and getting stuffed after verifying the shipping address. :| I've considered buying a custom built system, but my main system is way better than any of those custom systems, and I've got too many systems around here already.

I agree, at current prices/availability, this is a very solid deal. Number one, it's available now. Number two, it even comes with a 3 year warranty (which most GPUs and CPUs purchased from 3rd party/private sellers on places like Ebay, Amazon, Newegg don't have).

But alas, the way the computer market has been for a while has made me turn my attention (and money) to other areas of interest (*cough* more Star Wars toys *cough*).

I'm in the reverse situation ... I blew most of my wad on a 3080 FE and sat on my oc'ed/water-cooled 3600 (now @ 4.75g all-core), B450 MB etc.

Was trying to hold out for a 5900x myself but a $10 Newegg gift card (from an unrelated promo) plus a $10 discount off the retail price was all it took to trash my willpower. That plus an $800+/- best-case price to actually get a 5900x!

Ordered up a 5800x late last night @ $429 + tax. :D
