There were some really awesome deals on Macs at Circuit City a few months back when Apple was concentrating its sales at CompUSA. If you're in the market, you might want to head down to Circuit City to see if there are any; it's likely that you can negotiate and get some really hot bargains.
Bought from SmallDog 3 times (all refurbished computers including iBook/iMacs) ALL WITHOUT ANYPROBLEM! Smalldog is a very very good company!
PLUS, there is this one time i got a scanner from them...but it had problem...Smalldog sent me free return
shipping label WITH the new scanner to me the day after i called them regarding the problem!
Not a bad Mac laptop for $799. Alot smaller and easier to carry than a traditional G3 bronze powerbook. Also, alot easier to fit in your briefcase/bag than a widescreen G4 Titanium powerbook.
Anyone knows if it comes with OS 9 and OS X install CDs?
I just got an ibook (500/384/CD/10gig) a few months ago for 850 when they were running the 100 dollar rebate. Small dog is a great company with top-notch service... plus, the way apple does things with warranties means that this "refurbished" ibook has the SAME WARRANTY as the ibooks leaving the factory. There's no difference. It's a great deal if you can find a used airport card for around 65 and slap some more memory in there. I'm actually typing on it right now. =)
