CompUSA has IBM webcams @$29.99 with a $40 rebate if you buy two.... after tax and rebate I have four @$12.15 a piece... Early Christmas shopping!! They are not the best camera in the IBM catalog but I got 4 cameras for the price of one!!

The Ad was misleading in that it said buy one get one free after rebate....I beleive the camera resolution is 320x240 30 fps

I have one of these IBM webcams. Picture quality is not too good.
I'd recommend a better resolution, but I'm not sure what's a good one.

Some of these boxes have a $10 rebate glued to the front of it.

Another idea is to buy it at Best buy b&m store and have them price match the COMPUSA price of 29.99. There you will get a rebate slip for $10 printed up at the cashiers machine. THis brings the price down to $19.99 after rebate, minus state tax.

They are $29.99 at compUSA... if you buy TWO you get a $40 rebate FORTY dollars.

$29.99 X 2 = $59.98 + tax = $64.33 (in Texas)

- $40 rebate

$64.43 - 40 = $24.43/2 = $12.21 EACH, the $10 rebate on the box is irrelevant to this deal...

The ad say Buy one get One free but they UnderSTATE the rebate by TEN dollars...if I had a scanner I would scan the Rebate Coupon but I don't...

Well, all I have to say is good luck of EVER seeing that rebate. SuckUSA had this deal a couple of months ago and I did it. I got a postcard from Xirlink (the rebate provider) saying that CompUSA is not a valid store for the offer. I called, complained, and got nowhere. It was nearly the same offer: Buy one get one free, but the rebate slip was for $30 on two, so the manager matched my price to that. As far as the cam... it's blurry, hard to get the light quite right, and very often poops out (doesn't show vid when it should) when using Netmeeting. It's OK if your not too of a hardcore cam-cam person.
Just remember: Xirlink IS SUCK.
BTW: They told me that previous offer WAS valid though Best Buy! So maybe you guys can do a PM and get it after 4 months...

I bought a couple, the image is not great but if you are on a slow dailup like me a better one wouldn't make a difference.

I guess we will have to see about the rebate....

Can someone post (or email me) a copy of the $10 rebate attached toe "some" of these? I bought a couple a couple of weeks back from OM and would love to get some $$ back on them.
