IBM Transnotehas a lower price at Tiger Direct. The new price doesn't include the external floppy, port replicator, or 64MB mem upgrade. I have used the TN and it is an interesting package for the proper application. It doesn't do hand writing recognition, but captures the image on the page. I tried a couple of times to get the developer's kit from IBM with no luck.

Can you take the notebook out of the holder? It looks like a nice little notebook. I brought a Dell Inspirion 4000 and it starts to get heavy after a while! I wonder if it is a good deal just for the notebook. The other stuff looks interesting but I doubt I'd use it...

No, but you can fold the computer over the note pad and visa versa.
