After I returned to college a few weeks ago with my laptop, I noticed that music was skipping (MP3s) fairly bad. I figured it was my wireless card as usual, but even with that disabled, the music still skipped and then I noticed it wasn't the music skipping, it was the computer locking up randomly, going into extreme lags.
I finally discovered that if I unplugged my USB optical mouse the problems stop. So I thought it was a problem with the mouse or USB drivers. But it seems that my whole USB system is messed up. When I tried to install USB drivers, the system locks up. When I insert the USB mouse, the system locks up. I even did a format and it does not cure the problem....
