IBM ThinkPad T22 900/20GB/128MB/DVD $1229

<< Only 2 left at IBM ebay store! >>

fazarkin ebay is out for maintenance for another hour and a half. hope i remember to check later.

as I remember the IBM store at eBay charges high shipping and perhaps tax as well... certainly kills the deal..

Shipping was okay when i bought my A21p last year from them. $50 for overnight delivery via FedEx. Not bad if you ask me. Plus the T series are lightweight and has a titanium body.

I wonder if IBM is going to start blowing out their older models again. Last summer they did the same thing. IBM does charge sales tax for most states. But if you want an IBM, these can be pretty good deals.

only the t-23 model thinkpad contains the titatium body.

No it's not. I had two T21's a couple of years ago and they were titanium.

All the T series have a Titanium/ABS mix in the cover. It does make it a little stronger than other notebooks. You can actually stand on top of a closed ThinkPad T series with no damage. Do that with a Dell or Compaq and you will have a cracked screen.🙁

Did you actully test it?

This was a very hot post I thought...

I ordered one on Friday and got one with the buy now function. With tax 96$ and UPS ground at 35$ it came around 1440$.

What was weird was according the purchase history all 10 were sold fast but I am the only purchaser listed.

I got an email from IBM today saying they were in the process of authorzing my credit card and the projected ship date is next Weds(14th).

It also looked as though most or all of the rest were bought by ONE purchaser, they were all suddenly just gone while I was giving them my credit card info.

Anyone ever do this before?

I noticed the IBM site says this particular machine type has a CD-ROM not a DVD, I hope I don't get the wrong stuff.

Thoughts??
