IBM Thinkpad help needed!

Hey AT: Got a question for ya.

My dad let me use his old Thinkpad for a while (old POS: P2/celery 366 MHz, 128 RAM, 6 gig HD, CD-rom...), and the keyboard seems to be malfunctioning. To type anything right, I have to hold down the FN key (near the left control on a standard keyboard) to get anything to show up right. The culprits seem to be the top- and number-rows of the keyboard. I have searched IBM's database for answers, but no luck. Whenever you type the key, it comes as the corresponding key, only with the function key pressed, like the letter L will show up as "3" since there's a 3 character when the function key is pressed normally. Sorry if that's just incoherent babble, but it makes sense to me... please help :/

It turns out it was numlock... I feel like such an idiot. Thanks for the help, Mickles, and good night. This thread is done.

You are an idiot , anyone who calls a Thinkpad a POS instead of a piece of art, must be 😛
