IBM Thinkpad CPU upgrade?

I have an IBM Thinkpad R40e and I am trying to figure out what motherboard comes with this to determine if I can upgrade my CPU. The CPU it comes with is the Celeron 2.2ghz. Any thoughts?
 
The CPU would be upgradable if it is socketed - just need to disassemble to find out. If you're talking about the old Celerons (pre-D), it's probably not worth the trouble - max your RAM and replace the HD with the fastest available - that's about the best you can do.
