Hi, I've scoured the IBM/Lenovo site with (predictably) no luck . . .
I'm having a problem with my AC Adapter/Power Brick for my IBM/Lenovo X41 Tablet laptop. It keeps beeping while it's plugged in to the wall (regardless of whether it's plugged into the actual computer). While it's beeping, it does not send power to the laptop . . .
Sometimes it'll stop beeping, and work just fine. But recently, whenever it's moved around (if it accidently gets knocked off the desk, for example) it'll start beeping again. And not only will it stop powering the laptop, it'll cause my laptop to completely freeze up, forcing me to power it down and reboot it (which sucks, since the harddrive on this POS is as slow as molasses and it takes 10 minutes to boot).
Anyways, I was wondering what the beeping on my power brick means - is it a general error signal? I don't think it's an overheating issue, it beeps immediately after I plug it in for the first time in the day. Can I fix it? Do I really have to fork over more money to Lenovo when I've already been disappointed in their product for almost 2 years? Can you tell I've punched a hole in the wall over the frustration of not being able to use my laptop? Am I allowed to urge people not to buy IBM/Lenovo over one anecdotal poor experience?
Anyways, any help is, as always, appreciated.
