Does this support standard 15 pin? Becuase most of the ones I have seen require special ports and cables (with the exception of the proviews)

t85a = analog, standard 15 pin.
white = icky.

search by seller on eb@y auctions.ibm.com for more deals. No, I'm not affiliated.

it doesn't really matter, because DVI-to-DB15 or DB15-to-DVI adapter cost only $9.50.
from this place call....oscaroscar.com

It works great w/ my MX.

no..thanks to Noobody. (although, I know this deal a while ago, just don't think the most people going to spend that much on Monitor. But again, people spend $400 for a video card?)

But since this IBM is A-model, you don't need any adapter for your video card.
I use adapter because my Inno3D Secondary out is DVI, that I need adapter for twinview.

Whoah, excellent price. I picked up an NEC 18.1" for this price a while back. If anyone is looking for flat panels with DVI, there are only three I know of:

Compaq 15"- not selling anymore
Princeton Graphics 15" - comes with ATI 8 meg XL card
and of course my favorite
Silicon Graphics 18" theatre wide Flat panel - comes with number nine 32mb video card.

I have no problems or ghosting of my monitor, so I really cant tell the differences. But once Plasma goes to 20"-27" tvs, then I have found the ultimate monitor, cus its 40"-50" now an $10k is alot to shell out. That would probably kill the Wega, since the prices will be similar.

PLASMA RULES!

AlBundyHere,

The SGI is not DVI. It's OpenLVD and the only one with true 1600x1024 resolution. Everything else that's DVI is limited to 1280x1024 as that's a DVI hardware limitation.

No - the SGI 1600SW now comes with a MultiLink adapter that supports DVI. Not all vid cards will show the full 1600x1024 res, but some do (the rest will only display 1280x1024). I have mine hooked up to the DVI output of a Matrox G400Max. But I'm upgrading to either an AIW Radeon or GeForce2 Ultra because both have DVI and support the max resolution.

If you buy an LCD *DON'T* use the 15 pin VGA connector! Why spend $1000-$2000 for sub-par image quality? Using the DVI interface will result in a clearer picture. There are plenty of cards that can do DVI too (Radeon, Geforce2 MX w/ DVI, etc). Just avoid anything from Nvidia that isn't a Geforce2 MX as the others support it but not as well.

Oh yeah, the 1600SW w/ multilink adaptor does let you use DVI and the 1600x1024 resolution. Plenty of posts on usenet about that and even one or two on the forums.

Thats a great price for that monitor. Too bad that monitor sucks though. I'd rather save myself $300 and and get a much tighter dot pitch on a regular CRT monitor and get 21" too. But still a good find though for a flat panel.
