Is it possible to find a replacement palm rest area where there is a mouse pad instead of always using the pointer thingy. sorry i can't explain any better than that.

Are you looking to replace your pointer stick with a touch pad?

If yes, I dont think that is possible.
 
I saw a trackpad for sale at CompUSA once for around $60. It was USB and you plugged it in and you could use it like the normal trackpads.
