IBM T series and R series battery same?

Quick question

I have an Ibm T41 (personal) and R40 from work,

the R40 batter is the long haul battery i think, i get upto 6 hours batter life

are they interchangable? going on a personal trip with a long flight, would be nice to have that sort of batter life

I don't think so...

The T40 series(41,42) use the same battery as the R50/51 series.

The R40 is a different battery.... Could be wrong, but that's based on not having touched an R40 in several months.

Go to IBM.com and spec out replacement batteries for both the t40 series and R40 and if you end up with the same battery SKU# then you will have your answer.
