IBM Requires Authorized Cards Only for Mini-PCI

I was looking for a wireless 802.11BorG mini-pci card for my IBM T30 thinkpad today and founf about this "defect" IBM built into their laptops. One site mentioned it only affects certain models and/or BIOSes.
Does anyone know a way around this limitation?
Otherwise a cheap place to find an authorized card?

Thanks for the quick reply, I've been searching for one and can only find cards built for the Centrino models. Not to mention I'd rather just keep the $15 D-link PCMCIA I have than spend $60+ for the convenience of an internal card.

I gotta buy the new Mini-PCI card first, but this certainly gives me hope! Might have to actually pull out the floppy drive and boot DOS to do this hack, or install a Linux kernel module but I don't like doing that...

Ok sweet I got rid of the 1802 unauthorized Mini PCI error, not I get an error about multiple ethernet controllers being found and I need to remove one. alas I can press Esc to continue booting and then I boot.
It also took me awhile to find the driver for my Askey WLC4020 mini pci card with the atheros chipset, but I did.
Now I get a "Device cannot start (code 10)" error in device manager, I'm not sure if it has to do with the multiple ethernet controller error or what. I'll probably start another thread about that problem.
