Made a search and a deal came up with this cam from Office Max.com. This is from the store. 29.99-20MIR. Decent for those who just want to go to the store and buy.

There are several web cam deals at OM. Here's the list:

IBM PC Camera #1425-3504 $9.99 (Reg $39.99 now $29.99 - $20.00 mail rebate)

Kensington PC Video Cam #1427-1405 $19.99 (Reg $49.99 - $30 instant)

Logitech QuickCam Express #1425-1356 $29.99 (Reg $49.99 - $20 instant)

Logitech QuickCam Web #14277-1389 $59.99 (Reg $79.99 - $20 instant)

The only cam I saw on their site was the IBM one, but it was still $49.99, so it may require a PM call.

Which cam is the best for the price? You can e-mail me with the replies:

😀 Why not go to Circuit City and buy the camera (must be yesterday and today for the rebates) and have them pricematch with OfficeMax where the camera is $19.99. Send in the forms for your $35 in rebates. First time I have ever been paid to take a product home with me.

i picked one up yesterday. Its pretty lowqual. its like 352x288 resolution. In my expirience the higher quality kodak and 3com ones are worth the price, but at 10bux in terms of "webcam" purposes it does the job.

IMHO nothing more, nothing less.....

I wouldn't bother with those cams....pretty weak from what I've heard and experienced.

Personal favorite is the 3Com HomeConnect.....I even have a lens for telephoto (about 3x I recon).

I use the Webcam32 software pack....(www.webcam32.com)...it's not free, but works.

Don't get a Phillips Vesta Cam (can't vouch for the pro one).. the picture quality is quite bad..

I've seen the intel pro cam and the 3com home connect, they look alot better than the Phillips..

Funks
