IBM Europe flash walk-thru is

The chipset in this one is not Intel 810 or 815, it's an SiS 630 UltraAGP. FWIW, the Tom's Hardware review of this chipset is
here. It supports ATA/66, Virtual Channel memory, PC133 SDRAM and PIII processors with 133MHz FSB, so I'm wondering how easy it would be to crack one of these open and upgrade the CPU.
UPDATE: per the spare parts docs on the IBM site, the model 11U has a 4-layer AIO system board that only supports 66MHz FSB and Celeron
Ripped from the "Conclusion" section of the review:
"The SiS630 did not perform well on 3D intensive tests, but, then again, neither did the other two boards. Even so, the SIS630 was noticeably the weakest on 3D tests. Although display quality was roughly equivalent to the i810E, the SiS630 make a notably poor fraggin' platform.
Motherboards based on the SiS630 are generally quite a lot cheaper than those based on the i810e. With a larger feature set than Intel?s chipset, excellent stability, low price and business performance roughly equivalent to the i810e, motherboards based on the SiS630 are some of the best values around for running business and Internet applications."
I'm not a fraggin' kinda guy and wasn't planning to run anything more intense than the MAME version of Burger Time, so it would suit the average user fine, I'm sure. With a Celeron 566 you could even do some respectable DVD decoding. Worst of all for me, I just paid $900 for a 15" Samsung flat panel. Yet that $750 price tag for a complete PC is lookin' mighty tasty! Must...resist...temptation... AAAARGH! Just ordered one. DAMN YOU HOT DEALS FORUM!
