I know someone created a thread about IBM harddrives, this is to try and get an idea of how many people have had IBM hard drives that have failed, and how many have had them without failing
 
Could you make an option for those of us without IBM hard drives... We would like to see the results as well...
 
Heh... I'm like that guy in Dr. Strangelove - Slim Pickens. 2 30G IBM75GXPs in Raid-0 setup and a 60G IBM60GXP. None have died but I have always kept them mounted in 5.25" slots with air from outside of the case cooling them.
 
have a 60GB 60GXP and a 80GB 120GXP, ~ 9 months old, 3 months old respectively, and get great performance and has not let me down yet. I used to be a hardcore maxtor fan until one of their drives croaked on me, and a WD drive a long time ago also.
