IBM harddrive problems

This is the second time this has happened in two weeks:

I turn computer on, my main harddrive is not detected. My secondary drive is detected.
I turn the computer on its side, open it, check all connections, turn back on and it works.

This has happened, in that exact order, twice.

IBM 60GXP 40Gb (master IDE1)
MSI K7T Pro 2A

Any ideas?

The main drive is set at master on IDE1. I have another drive on IDE2 set at slave and a DVD drive set at master.
I don't have another cable right now, but I'm starting to think that the cables are the problem. That or some sort of mechanical error within the drive.

yeha, sounds liek the cable.....or maybe the controller board on the drive. If its the drive, I'd check on the warranty.
