I have a 20 GB IBM Desktar that I would like to run a machine on. However the drive is only reading as 2 GB on this new Motherboard. Where can I get a Utility to low level format it? Is a firmware update possible for it? Please..any suggestions would be nice! Thanks.

You have the jumper "set clip to 2GB" enabled, where it sets it so that the BIOS can only read only the first 2GB of the drive.

There could be a bios update for the motherboard. You might also want to fdisk the drive. Some one might of set only one partition to be 2 gig leaving the 18 gig unallocated.

Well I had it set at master and it would only detect like 2 GB so I just now set it to cable select (even though its on the master end) and it sees it all now. What is the deal with there being two different kinds of everything, like device 0 cable select, device 1 cable select and so on for the other two (master and slave). What does that mean?
