Interesting development. Can’t say I’m really sold on the usefulness of quantum computing yet, but this is an interesting way to try and make it available in a palatable form.

Nooooo AMD, no no no noh Noh NOOHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Is it really that bad for AMD?
IMHO quantum computing is just not a productive use of their time or funds when they still have so much ground to make up against nVidia.

Spreading themselves too thin when they still have significant competition in the CPU market beyond Intel and nowhere near the GPU market share of nVidia in consumer or datacenter segments seems like folly at best.

Plus.... IBM..... really?

They were the hottest of hot at one time, but now frankly they are not a company I would tether AMD to, not unless there is some other undeclared aspect to the partnership, like working on photonic interconnects or something.
