Have you guys experienced any problems?
I have heard that the IBM 75GXP series develops bad sectors after a few months of use. Is this true? How long have you had your IBM 75GXP?
I want to get one this weekend, but first I want to be sure that I'm not buying a lemon. Thank you.
 
I've been running 3 of them for 6 months (3 different systems) w/out any problems. I love them but make sure that you install the ATA100 patch if running ME or 98.
 
I love these drives; quiet and FAST. I have switched over from using Maxtor drives, since the IBM drives are quieter (and faster). Noise is definitely a consideration when the computer is in a recording studio.
