ibercivis --- Boinc project in Spain

Ibercivis is a project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in multiple studies from spanish scientists. You can check about them in our institutional website, www.ibercivis.es .
Link doesn't work, any idea what it's about?

It's sort of a merging of the concepts of WCG and BURP. It is currently running projects similar to WCG but is set up so that scientists in Spain can submit their own projects to be run like BURP does for animations.

when you let live search or google translate it (i don't understand any spanish) it sounds like a good project, however the fact that they don't even provide a short english explanation (not only the boinc-style sentence) about what they run on your computer makes me avoid this project. Do they see no advantage in having the international community take part in their research?

I believe Lattice is also set up that way.

I don't understand Spanish, either. I looked at the applications and saw that a good number of them were quite similar to ones we crunch on other projects.

I speak, read, and write English and I speak Putty.

While the international "audience" certainly adds a huge potential for processing power, the news and documentation for the project gives me the impression that while the project is open to anyone, they want it to be focused on (and highlight) the efforts of scientists and crunchers in Spain. Sort of a "local club" type thing.
